Inspiration

We were inspired by the toy game Bop It! and wanted to replicate the game's behavior using various sensors available to us.

What it does

Our project is a close replication of Bop It!, and uses an LCD screen to display instructions and points. The user interacts with a joystick and an accelerometer to complete the tasks as they are displayed. The available instructions require tilting the joystick, clicking the joystick, or shaking the accelerometer. The Bop It also connects via Bluetooth to a mobile device to wirelessly record and display your score as you play.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges while trying to wire the modules together and making sure the correct pins were used and read from. We also ran in to slight difficulties when determining the appropriate sensitivities for the sensors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how fun our project is to play as a game, and we're happy about how we use the LCD to display messages to the player. We also like that we were able to display the score on a phone via Bluetooth.
