Arcos
Arcos is an independent artist website and online shop built around original one-of-one physical artworks.
The goal was to create a quiet, gallery-like digital experience that gives the work room to breathe while still supporting a complete buying journey. The site brings together portfolio presentation, individual artwork pages, artist/process content, journal content, inventory and checkout in one responsive product.
What I built
- Responsive artist website and online shop
- Bilingual content structure
- Individual artwork and series pages
- One-of-one artwork inventory
- Stripe Checkout
- Artwork-first product UX
- Process, journal, collecting and policy content
- Mobile and desktop experiences
Product approach
The design intentionally avoids the feel of a conventional high-volume e-commerce store. Each artwork is a unique physical object, so the interface is structured more like a contemporary artist catalogue with commerce integrated into it.
The live site also communicates the physical process behind the work — acrylic on canvas and ink on paper — alongside practical collecting information.
Technology
Built with React and TypeScript using Vite, TanStack, Tailwind CSS and Stripe.
