Inspiration

Having a home in America is the ultimate American Dream, and people dedicate their lives and work extremely hard to make that dream a reality. However, a person's initial vision is often just a small insight into how wide and rich their creativity truly reaches. We realized that engineers, architects, and designers aren't just technical innovators; they hold the profound responsibility of giving individuals the opportunity to bring their deepest visions to life. We were inspired to close the frustrating communication gap between everyday clients and experienced professionals. We wanted to build a tool that allows a client's dream to be conveyed in a way that is easily understandable, technically accurate, and visually impeccable.

What it does

Archvision is an AI-driven architectural workflow that empowers users to visualize their dream spaces without compromise. It seamlessly turns rough ideas into "Geometry-Aware" 2D concepts and technical artifacts, rapidly powering immersive 3D Gaussian Splat environments in mere minutes. Users can instantly explore these high-fidelity 3D renders directly on our web interface or export them to a professional 3D editor of their choice. For a construction or prop-tech startup, Archvision acts as the ultimate rapid-prototyping engine. It completely solves the common real estate problem where a client tours a property and says, "I love the kitchen, but I hate the layout of the rest of the house." Instead of losing that client, a startup can use Archvision on the spot to instantly re-visualize the space, tailored perfectly to the buyer's exact desires, creating a deep resonance and securing the contract.Throughout the conversation, Archvision intelligently extracts and structures critical project data, such as spatial requirements, structural constraints, MEP preferences, zoning assumptions, and material selections. Archvision transforms casual client dialogue into a comprehensive technical specification report. Clients and stakeholders can provide additional inputs directly through chat, allowing Archvision to continuously refine and formalize the project into permit-ready, engineering-informed documentation in real time.

How we built it

We architected a robust technical pipeline connecting a Large Language Model (LLM) with an open-source Vision-Language Model (VLM). This system takes the user's creative desires and translates them into precise image instructions optimized for a 3D real-time environment. By bridging these advanced AI models, we established a seamless flow from natural language ideation directly into spatial geometry.

Challenges we ran into

As a team of freshman college kids, we had boundless passion but quickly discovered the realities of collaborative software development. Our biggest hurdle was a chaotic Git merge conflict. Late into the build, we pushed what we thought were incorrect changes that completely broke our local environments. Panic set in, and we spent stressful hours rolling back versions and hunting for non-existent bugs. In reality, nothing significant was wrong with the code; it was just a simple miscommunication about our local setups. It was a humbling moment that taught us the critical importance of: Deeply understanding our tech stack. Establishing a strict version-control workflow. Having the patience to ensure everyone on the team is on the same page before hitting "push."

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of our user interface. We worked hard to ensure it is exceptionally pleasant to the eye, yet profoundly simple for any user to utilize, regardless of their technical background. In addition, we gave users the flexibility to view their stunning 3D renders directly within the browser or export them to a professional 3D editor, making Archvision a truly versatile tool.

What we learned

Beyond mastering version control and team communication, we learned how to optimize an agentic workflow to better manage a client-to-provider service. We discovered how to automate the heavy lifting of spatial generation while fiercely preserving the unique, human creativity inherent in professional design practices. Archvision doesn't replace the designer; it supercharges their ability to collaborate with the client.

What's next for Archvision

Our team wants to expand Archvision into a comprehensive architectural ecosystem. Custom Furniture Generation: We plan to tackle bespoke furniture generation powered by visual diffusion models, allowing designers and clients to reference standardized templates to make custom interior pieces a reality. The Full "Dream Estate" Experience: We want to add capabilities to seamlessly merge individual 3D room renders into a cohesive, fully navigable "dream estate" or complete home view. Ultimately, Archvision is about democratizing the design process. We are deeply passionate about giving every single customer the boundless opportunity to express their creativity and shape their own reality. We believe everyone deserves to walk through their dream home before the first brick is even laid, and we won't stop building until that vision is accessible to all.
