ArchiveQuest: ProofShift helps people see how much a conclusion depends on one document. It reads records the user has chosen, checks a specific claim, then sets aside one important source in its analysis and checks the claim again. The original files stay unchanged.

For example, a folder may contain an approval letter and several drafts. The letter may support the claim that a client approved a design. If the letter is set aside, the drafts alone may leave the claim unsupported. With two independent payment records, removing one may leave enough support. A booking confirmation, by itself, does not establish that someone checked into a hotel.

The Skill uses Uliya's file and document experts to find and read authorized records. It examines up to 12 candidates and reads up to six documents. Its response shows the claim, current evidence, real source references, the result of setting one source aside, what to look for next, and any gaps in coverage. It asks for missing permissions or processing details before continuing.

The first version contains SKILL.md and four linked reference files. The official UGREEN static checker reports zero errors and warnings. Nineteen local file and PDF checks passed. Six further checks accepted the valid version and rejected five deliberately broken copies. No test has been run on a UGREEN NAS yet. Installation, actual expert responses and permissions still need device testing.

One difficulty was separating unreadable records from missing support. If no relevant record can be read, the Skill cannot assess the claim. If a readable approval letter is set aside and no support remains, the evidence is insufficient. Copies and summaries must also be treated carefully because separate files may come from the same source.

If selected for the next round, I plan to test the approval, payment and booking cases with fictional documents on the assigned NAS. I will check the returned quotations, the change in conclusions and whether all source files remain unchanged.

ChatGPT helped with the initial idea and draft. Codex helped check the official capability catalog, revise the workflow, prepare the proposal and run static checks. The Skill includes no third-party executable code, datasets or external API integration. UGREEN's platform and developer-tool terms apply.
