Every building starts with an idea, but turning that idea into reality requires navigating hundreds of interconnected decisions.

For homeowners and project stakeholders, the answers they need are often scattered across architects, consultants, agencies, regulations, and technical documents. People can invest significant time and money before understanding what is possible, what remains uncertain, or what they should do next.

As architects, we experience this every day. We realized AI could do more than answer isolated questions—it could guide people through the different stages of a building project by organizing information, identifying unknowns, and preparing them for meaningful conversations with professionals.

That became the inspiration behind Archi AI.

What it does

Archi AI is an architectural decision agent that transforms an open-ended building idea into a structured preliminary project roadmap.

Through a guided conversation, it helps homeowners and project stakeholders clarify their goals, identify key considerations, highlight uncertainties, and recommend practical next steps.

Archi AI helps people arrive at professional conversations better informed and better prepared.

Every conversation generates a living project brief that can be downloaded as a branded PDF and shared with a design team.

How we built it

Archi AI is powered by the OpenAI Responses API using GPT-5 with structured JSON outputs that generate both conversational responses and a dynamic project roadmap in real time.

Throughout Build Week, Codex became an essential development partner. It helped us:

Challenges we ran into
