What is Codbe?

Codbe keeps your dependencies up to date without giving AI control of your codebase.

When a dependency falls behind, Codbe assesses the risk, uses AI for a read-only compatibility check, and lets deterministic code make the final decision.

For safe updates, Codbe changes the dependency version, regenerates the lockfile, verifies everything in a sandbox, and opens a pull request with the reasoning and audit trail.

It never merges. It never edits your source code. The AI never controls the process.

The Problem

Dependency updates are repetitive, but they can still break builds or introduce compatibility issues.

Traditional bots automate updates without understanding the risk. AI agents can understand the risk, but giving them write access creates a different problem.

Codbe takes the middle ground.
