Our team aimed to develop an engaging augmented reality (AR) application for city exploration. The app would provide users with an immersive AR tour of the city, showcasing landmarks and allowing them to leave personalized content for others to view. Throughout the development process, we learned valuable insights about utilizing the 8th Wall API for AR applications, including its robust features and cloud-based nature. We faced various challenges throughout development, the largest being limited familiarity with JavaScript and HTML. Overall, 8th Wall proved to be a powerful tool in the hands of experienced developers, with room for improvement in video recording and hosting user-generated content.
