AR Maze Matrix
Inspiration
We got the idea for AR Maze Matrix when we thought about mixing augmented reality, real-world locations, and gaming. The challenge from Google inspired us to explore how we could connect the real world with a fun gaming experience.
What We Learned
Creating AR Maze Matrix taught us a lot. We figured out how to use Google's GeoSpatial Creator API with Unity, blending real places with a virtual maze. Our team of a programmer, 3D artist, and designer worked together to turn our ideas into a cool and interactive game.
The Development Process
Coming Up with Ideas
We started by thinking about ideas that could connect the real world with an interactive maze. A location-based AR maze seemed like a cool concept, tying the game to where players are physically.
Making the Game Work
Saarthak Srivastava, our programmer, made the game come alive. He used the GeoSpatial Creator API to link real places with the virtual maze, making a challenging and dynamic game. This involved coding the game's logic and blending geospatial data to make the virtual and physical worlds connect seamlessly.
Creating the Maze
Himank Agarwal, our 3D artist, built a visually striking maze in Blender. The maze was not just challenging but also looked great. Connecting this virtual maze with real-world locations showed how art and technology can work together.
Designing the Experience
Garima Pachori, our designer, played a big part in making the game enjoyable. She designed user interfaces and elements that guided players through the maze. Her work added to the fun of playing AR Maze Matrix.
Challenges Faced
Building AR Maze Matrix wasn't easy. Making sure the virtual maze fit well with real places had its challenges. We had to solve issues like making it work on different devices and mapping locations accurately. Also, making sure players stayed interested while navigating without touching the virtual walls needed careful design and testing.
Conclusion
AR Maze Matrix is more than just a game. It shows what happens when technology, creativity, and real places come together. The challenge from Google gave us a chance to learn and create something special. We're proud to present AR Maze Matrix—a game that not only shows what we can do with technology but also how much fun augmented reality gaming can be. We hope players enjoy finding their way through the virtual maze as much as we enjoyed making this cool experience.
