Inspiration
When people are in new unknown areas, they are overloaded by information and have hard time finding what they are looking for. Or when people want to quickly look the reviews from a business in the front, opening google map and finding the business is not efficient.
What it does
It shows review for all the businesses nearby with an AR view so that the user can get a better understanding of their surrounding
How we built it
We built it with passion, Unity Engine with AR Foundation and different API's provided by Google (Geospatial API, Places API).
Challenges we ran into
For testing our application, we needed to go outside and tested on local businesses. Considering the weather and short day time available, this slowed down our development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building this application from start to finish, as a 2 student team.
What we learned
We gained experience using various Google APIs and integrating them in Unity.
What's next for ReviewAR
The project will be publicly open sourced for others that might be interested in adding functionalities.
