Inspiration
Based on the theme of "Ocean" set for the hackathon this year and my recent fascination with the horror genre video games.
What it does
I was supposed to be a survival horror game where you get swarmed by hyper evolved fish vaguely resembling actual real life fish, that you have to fend off and survive from while keeping your submarine intact.
How we built it
I built the game in GDevelop using Krita & Affinity By Canva for the game assets. I was planning to use Moho 13.5.5 By Lost Marble and Autodesk FBX Converter 2013 to import rigged 2D animations for the antagonistic fish, but didn't have enough time.
Challenges we ran into
The hackathon was cut short from 6:30 as listed to 4:30 and I only found out really late.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I guess the art is the only thing that I'm proud of since there's no functional gameplay.
What I learned
I need to get faster.
What's next for AquaSpace: Demo Game [UNFINISHED]
I guess finishing it on my own time.
