Inspiration

One of our close friends aunt lived in Michigan during the Flint Water Crisis. She was bedridden due to getting a sickness from the water, and we got inspired to help anyone who faced a similar problem.

What it does

AquaSense is a tool that will help people identify if the water they are drinking is safe. The user can scan the water and using AI, the app will determine the cleanliness of the water. However, some people don’t have access to a working camera so they will have to enter their location.. This app is to make sure people are healthier by helping them recognize clean water and prevent diseases formed from the water they drink.

How we built it

We used MIT app developer and resources given by MIT app developer to develop our app.

Challenges we ran into

Incorporating maps and examining water through camera.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning how to overcome our challenges(like incorporating the map and giving the water quality for location specified)

What we learned

We learned more about how to use MIT app developer and how collaboration is important.

What's next for AquaSense

Adding more features where our app tell you what exactly is in the water.
