Inspiration

Bike washing services often use significant amounts of water, and customers may have limited visibility into service status and water consumption. We wanted to explore how conversational AI could make bike washing more convenient, efficient, and environmentally conscious.

What It Does

AquaRide Voice AI is a proposed conversational assistant for smart bike-washing services. It is designed to help users explore washing options, schedule a wash, check simulated service status, and understand estimated water savings through a simple conversational interface.

How We Plan to Build It

The project uses a web-based interface to simulate an Alexa+-inspired conversational experience. Users can interact with the assistant through predefined commands and receive responses about bookings, washing operations, and water consumption. The application is designed to demonstrate how an AI assistant could connect conversational interactions with a practical service workflow.

Challenges

The main challenges include designing natural and useful conversational interactions, organizing the washing-service workflow, presenting water-consumption information clearly, and building a reliable demonstration within the hackathon timeframe. Another important consideration is distinguishing simulated information from data collected by real devices.

Potential Impact

AquaRide Voice AI aims to demonstrate how conversational AI can simplify service interactions and encourage awareness of water conservation. In the future, it could be extended to connect with actual washing equipment, booking systems, and water-monitoring sensors.

What We Hope to Learn

Through this project, we aim to explore conversational AI design, Amazon's developer ecosystem, and the possibilities of connecting AI assistants with real-world services. We also want to identify opportunities for making everyday services more accessible, efficient, and sustainable.
