Android based application helps local to find Water and Food reservoirs provided by UNDP

Inspiration

The people in Sudan, Yemen and other countries which are facing from the war and water reservoirs issue has a big problem related to the Drinking Water, UNDP provides water reservoirs in these countries, Our App help them to locate where are the water reservoirs.

What it does

It shows your location and also shows the markers of UNDP water reservoirs and find the shortest path toward the nearest Reservoir, also it can be use offline if one time the Map is downloaded in the device.

How I built it

We build AquaLoc by using android studio and by using google api

Challenges I ran into

The main problem we were facing that the markers didnt work properly as we are using the free google api and also the google api expires most times.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We finally made a working product.

What I learned

We got exposure to Facebook Dev Features and also learn how to use google api

What's next for AquaLoc

We will add "How to save water techniques" and also add "How to clean the contaminated water to able to drink it."
