Inspiration - I ran a memecoin project to learn web3 more as a newbie from web2 and quickly spotted the broken system for finding talent and people to work with in web3. It was a very unsafe environment with no trust. So i set out to build a platform different from Fiverr and Upwork but using the proven recipes from them while adding the web3 elements.
What it does - The platform is a freelancer hub on steroids as we like to say. With an aim to break down the barriers in the global job market. Normal payment systems prevent this, along with other things like limited to no access to the website based on location
How we built it - I am not a developer but understand the architecture of code and logic so i used ai to help me build the MVP and have been perfecting it ever since. It is build using javascript, css and html. I am open to fully bridging code over to blockchain code when the time is right.
Challenges we ran into - not having developer knowledge and blockchain knowledge
Accomplishments that we're proud of - added some great utilities and features since day one. 1000 users' first sale and first booking with a freelancer. Partnerships with coinbound, lifi, and reown
What we learned - I learned quickly how fast-paced the web3 environment is compared to web2 and had to pick up the pace. Also learned a lot about how blockchain works and the possibilities that are waiting to be built and implemented. Learned about smart contracts and new coding languages made for blockchain only. Learned that web2 domains have issues merging with blockchain but might be wrong
What's next for Aquads.xyz - now aquads is ready for funding to build out a team of employees so the website can get better and faster and so we can execute on other tasks like marketing, more partnerships and overall development of the company.
