The inspiration for AquaBloom AI stems from the catastrophic bleaching events witnessed globally. Traditional restoration—manually planting coral fragments—is too slow to counter the rate of decline.
What it does
AquaBloom AI pioneers synthetic symbiosis to halt the extinction of coral reefs by 3D-bioprinting "bionic" skeletons infused with thermally-hardened algae. This living defense system, powered by AI-driven predictive monitoring, transforms ocean conservation into a scalable, high-tech restoration mission that builds biodiversity at a speed nature can no longer achieve alone.
How we built it
AquaBloom AI is a full-stack restoration platform utilizing Next.js 15, Google Gemini via Genkit, and Firebase for real-time telemetry.
Challenges we ran into
Scientific Accuracy vs UX: Translating marine biology into an engaging simulation. • Real-time Simulation: Balancing environmental decay rates in the "Reef Guardian" loop. • Prompt Engineering: Fine-tuning Genkit flows to act as a specialized marine biologist.
