Inspiration
Our team consists of high school students who do not drink a lot of water, and neither do a lot of our classmates. This was a simple app to make some observable change in the world.
What it does
It allows you to input your daily intake of water and observe how much water you drank in the past day, month, or year.
How we built it
We built it using SwiftUI and CoreData to store the date and amount of water for each day.
Challenges we ran into
It was challenging learning about CoreData and integrating it with our graph, as well as converting date format to string.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating the app in such a short time without that much experience with Swift or app development in general.
What we learned
We learned a lot about iOS app development.
What's next for AGUA8
We plan to make the UI more user-friendly, add more types of drinks, and customize the daily amount based on certain user-inputted parameters.
