Our inspiration

The project is mainly for those who consume contaminated water and who are suffering from Chronic kidney diseases.

our idea

In our project we formulated an algorithm such that it purifies the water based on the pH ,Turbidity and TDS values calculated. We used an Arduino Uno and a pH Sensor and a Turbidity Sensor for measuring the pH value of the feed and then we created a reverse osmosis filter bank for purification.In this process a high pressure is applied from higher concentration to lower concentration membrane.The pressure applied is calculated using the pH of the feed calculated previously. We take pH of distilled water as reference value and then take the difference between the reference pH and the obtained pH value.After the purification the water is again passed through another quality checker bank and then the pH is calculated again and if the pH of the feed varies more than an optimal value it is passed on to households for drinking purposes and the remaining water goes to industrial purposes.In the reverse osmosis, the amount of water wasted is more and to compensate we pass that feed to industrial purposes.

Challenges faced

The challenges we faced are sending the notifications to the mobile using GSM and also the other major challenge is the flow distribution algorithm.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We calculated the pH and then we sent the notification to the user using Thingspeak cloud. We designed an Integrated Membrane System for the Reverse Osmosis filter.

what we learnt

We learnt how to analyse pH of the feed input and also the best constraints for purification of water for making it drinkable and also some of the flow distribution topologies and the cost optimization in real world scenarios.

What's next for AQUA SPIRITUS

We want to further develop our product with Artificial Intelligence including Real time Tracking and Analysing Big Data.
