About the Project
Water sustainability is often presented as information, but awareness does not always lead to action. We wanted to explore a simple question: What if learning about water could become an experience that encourages people to do something in the real world?
Aqua Quest: Water Memory is an interactive water-sustainability experience that takes users through a journey of learning, exploration, decision-making, and action.
Instead of ending with a quiz score, the experience encourages users to connect what they learn with practical actions they can take beyond the screen. The goal is to make water sustainability more engaging, memorable, and actionable.
How We Built It
The prototype was built as a web application using React, Vite, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. We focused on creating a simple, interactive experience where users can explore water-related information, make choices, and see how their decisions connect to real-world sustainability.
Challenges
One of our main challenges was finding the balance between education and interaction. We wanted the experience to be informative without feeling like a traditional educational website or quiz.
Another challenge was making the final step meaningful. Rather than ending when the digital experience ends, Aqua Quest encourages users to carry the idea of water conservation into their everyday lives.
What We Learned
Through this project, we learned that sustainability communication can be more engaging when users are given an active role instead of simply being presented with information.
Our journey is simple:
Learn → Explore → Decide → Act
Aqua Quest is built around the idea that awareness matters, but action makes the difference.
Make the drop count.
