Inspiration AQUA FLOW was inspired by the need for a simple, elegant, and motivating way to manage personal or organizational finances. We wanted to create a tool that feels calm and modern while helping users stay aware of their income, expenses, and overall balance in one place.
What it does AQUA FLOW is a smart expense tracker that allows users to log income and expenses, view live balance updates, and explore analytics and reports. It also includes a clean dashboard experience with visual charts, category-based insights, and a smooth UI designed for easy tracking.
How we built it The project was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The interface was designed with a modern ocean-inspired theme, while the logic uses local storage to save transactions and keep data available across refreshes. We also added interactive pages for analytics and reports to make the experience more informative and visually appealing.
Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges was making the app feel complete while keeping the design simple and user-friendly. We also had to ensure that the data remained consistent across multiple pages and that the charts and reports updated correctly whenever new transactions were added.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of creating a fully functional expense tracker with a polished UI, multiple pages, and visual analytics. The app now feels more like a complete product rather than a basic demo, and it provides a clear way to understand financial activity at a glance.
What we learned We learned how to combine design and functionality to create a more engaging web app experience. We also improved our understanding of building interactive dashboards, managing shared data across pages, and creating a better user experience through thoughtful UI choices.
What's next for AQUA FLOW In the future, we plan to add more advanced features such as monthly and yearly filters, pie charts, dark mode, CSV export, and even budget alerts to make AQUA FLOW even more useful and powerful.
