Inspiration We wanted to solve a simple problem: career development is still too fragmented. Aptura AI was created to help people understand their skills, improve their resumes, discover opportunities, and apply with confidence—all in one platform.

What it does Aptura AI is an AI-powered career platform that analyzes resumes, identifies skill gaps, helps users improve applications, and connects them with relevant opportunities. With WebMCP, Aptura can also expose career tools for AI agents to interact with.

How we built it We built Aptura using Python, FastAPI, Jinja, JavaScript, and AI services. We integrated WebMCP with authenticated tools, input validation, and human approval for AI-assisted actions.

Challenges we ran into Our biggest challenge was integrating WebMCP into an existing application while keeping the platform secure and easy to use. We also had to learn how to design tools that work effectively for both humans and AI agents.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud to have evolved Aptura from a resume tool into an AI career platform and successfully integrated WebMCP to make its capabilities accessible to AI agents.

What we learned We learned that building for AI agents requires more than adding AI. Tools need to be structured, secure, discoverable, and designed around user control and trust.

What's next for Aptura ai Next, we want to build a conversational career agent that can analyze profiles, match opportunities, identify skill gaps, tailor applications, and guide users through their career journey.
