Inspiration

The inspiration behind Aptivue AI came from witnessing how tedious and time-consuming the traditional recruitment process can be — both for recruiters and candidates. Many companies struggle with creating unbiased, consistent interview experiences and evaluating candidates efficiently. I wanted to build something that could use AI to make hiring fairer, faster, and more insightful, giving recruiters more time to focus on people rather than paperwork.

What it does

Aptivue AI is an AI-powered SaaS platform that streamlines the entire recruitment journey. It empowers employers to:

  • Easily set up customized interview questions and sessions.
  • Automate candidate assessments using an AI agent.
  • Evaluate and rate candidate responses with intelligent, unbiased scoring.
  • Generate actionable insights to make better hiring decisions.

How we built it

Frontend: Next JS with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive UI.

Backend: Node.js and Express for the API, integrated with OpenAI for AI-powered question generation and response evaluation.

Database: PostgreSQL for structured data storage.

Authentication: Secure user management with JWT.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we faced while building Aptivue AI included:

Training the AI model: Ensuring that the AI evaluates answers accurately and without bias required continuous testing and fine-tuning.

Data privacy: Handling candidate responses securely and complying with data protection standards.

User experience: Designing a UI that’s simple enough for non-technical HR teams but powerful enough to handle complex workflows.

Scalability: Making sure the platform can handle high traffic during peak recruitment periods.

How to get started with testing

Aptivue AI offers support for both Interviewer and Candidate Role. Interviewers need to go through a subscription process but for candidates the platform is completely free.

Test credentials for Interviewer role:

email: info@aptivueai.com
password: Password1!

You can create candidate with any valid email as it's fully free. The email a candidate use should be put in the invitees list while an interviewer creates a session.
