Inspiration

Me and my friends wanted to get cheap housing, and so we went to a brand new apartment building here at Madison and negotiated a deal with them to get a group discount. Tenants want cheap rent, Landlords with brand new buildings want large groups of tenants. We match them

What it does

We allow for people looking to live in the same area to join groups, and then connect directly with a realtor, then negotiate a discount

Time managment, and really scoping out what made sense to include in an mvp/hackathon project

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We had a team that included two brand new business students to AI. having them learn the basics of web development and AI was very impressive, and I think we did a good job scoping the problem and finding important dialogue that helped us learn more.

What we learned

We learned about the legal challenges that might come from something like this platform, as landlords may use ths site to filter for a specific kind of tenant, which is against the fair housing act.

What's next for aptapt

Considering building this out as a full scale app.
