Inspiration
Innovating for a durable green city is a challenge that we face and will most affect future generations. We think it is most pertinent to teach the younger challengers how to take care of Earth. We chose 3RV because we believe it is primordial to classify the trash respectably to reduce pollution.
What it does
Our program is an interactive mobile game that lets the kids teach themselves how to sort trash accordingly. It is possible to input more data into our arrays, which makes the app contain infinite possibilities our trash that kids could encounter.
How we built it
We build two prototypes, using Eclipse with Java, and using Godot with GDscript. Both provides logics that helps with sorting trash interactively. We used Aseprite to make pixel art for our game.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a lot of complications regarding using our platforms to program, notably the versions, updates and the structure of our code. That is why we had a prototype A and B. We weren't sure we could deliver a quality product so we provided possibilities.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Overcoming our hurdles as a team and finishing two working products at the end.
What we learned
We learned that to succeed as team, we need to prepare a platform and programming language that we are all familiar with, to avoid early complications.
What's next for Apprenti Recycleur
Deployment on the Appstore as mobile game for durable environmental learning.
