Purpose and inspiration

Household appliance owners preparing a service request must reconcile scattered purchase records, manuals and maintenance notes. A confident summary can hide a mismatched model, uncertain date or missing evidence. Appliance Service Packet prepares a source-cited draft while keeping conflicts and unknowns visible; it does not decide warranty eligibility.

What it does

The user selects up to three documents and assigns receipt, manual and maintenance roles. The Skill verifies source identities and hashes, delegates extraction and reconciliation, rechecks hashes, and returns reported claims with exact excerpts, unresolved alternatives and evidence gaps. Saving a text copy is optional and requires confirmation of the exact content and a safe new-file destination.

How it is built

An original Markdown parent Skill delegates self-contained tasks to catalog-registered experts: file-agent for ug-filesystem stat and sha256sum, document-agent for ug-document extract and reconcile, and knowledge-agent for a separately confirmed ug-knowledge save-text. Read access stays within selected sources. The Uliya host supplies the runtime model; no additional external service is instructed.

Development used UGREEN uliya-skill-kit 0.7.3-en / catalog 2.0.0 under its published terms. No toolkit code is redistributed. Codex assisted design, writing and local evaluation. ReportLab 4.4.9 (BSD license) generated the proposal PDF. The Skill ZIP contains original Markdown and no third-party runtime library.

Progress, challenges and learning

Built: expert orchestration, evidence rules and official-toolkit static validation. A separate synthetic Python prototype tests the evidence rules, but is not included in or invoked by the Skill. The design distinguishes a manual's subject from appliance identity and retains conflicting models and dates instead of selecting a plausible answer. Hashes establish consistency, not authenticity.

This is a Round 1 pre-test package. NAS installation, expert extraction, citations, source hashes and create-new save behavior remain unvalidated. No NAS runtime success is claimed. Extraction formats, completeness, locators and safe saving depend on the target Registry; unsupported saving leaves an unsaved draft.

Next tests

Test matching documents for accurate cited claims and a verified confirmed copy; conflicting models/dates and changed sources for unresolved alternatives and prevention of stale saving; and missing or instruction-like content for visible gaps without invented evidence or expanded access. The Skill neither diagnoses repairs nor contacts providers.
