Apollo

Inspiration

Getting news quickly and efficiently is important to me, and having to search through websites is a pain. Apollo gets the top news headlines straight to you, without having to open up a browser or search for anything.

What it does

Apollo uses Beautiful Soup to gather data from various sites (currently only has support for two) and presents that data on the front end of the app. The user of the app can choose which sites they would like to choose from.

How I built it

I build it using Flutter, VSCode, and a dart port of Beautiful Soup.

What's next for Apollo

Apollo has much room for improvement. I see myself adding things like a search functionality, advanced filter options, and support for more news websites.
