Our goal was to demystify the stock market for beginners. We recognized the potential in leveraging technology to simplify the investment process, making it accessible and engaging for everyone. Apollo.ai stands as a testament to our commitment, offering a user-friendly interface that opens the doors to the world of stocks like never before.
What it does
Apollo.ai revolutionizes investing in the S&P 500 by providing personalized stock recommendations. Our AI, powered by random forest regression, analyses your investment profile—factoring in risk tolerance, investment timeline, and diversification preferences—to deliver suggestions tailored just for you. It's intelligent investing made simple, ensuring your portfolio aligns with both your financial goals and personal strategy.
How we built it
Apollo.ai was brought to life through a plethora of technologies and frameworks. At its core, the project harnesses the power of React and JavaScript for the frontend, paired seamlessly with Python and Flask powering the backend. Our decision to employ RandomForest for AI analysis, complemented by the robust styling of HTML/CSS and Bootstrap, and containerized with Docker, reflects our dedication to creating a resilient and scalable application.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the frontend with the backend presented a significant hurdle in our development process. Achieving a seamless connection between the two was paramount to offering a fluid user experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A highlight of our project's success is the astounding 99.9% accuracy of our model in evaluating risk factors. This milestone not only underscores the reliability of Apollo.ai but also our team's ability to create a tool that investors can trust.
