Inspiration

Voting systems face various problems and security issues that can compromise the integrity and accuracy of elections. One of the main issues is voter fraud, which can occur through various means such as ballot stuffing, vote buying, and impersonation. Another issue is technical malfunctions or errors in the voting machines or software, which can lead to inaccurate vote counts or other problems.

Additionally, there may be logistical challenges in ensuring that all eligible voters can access the polls, such as long lines, inadequate staffing, or inaccessible polling locations. Disinformation campaigns, both foreign and domestic, can also undermine confidence in the election process and discourage voter participation.

What it does

It enables secure, transparent and decentralized voting for any kind of election or decision-making process.
It uses face recognition to verify the identity of voters and prevent double voting or impersonation.
It allows voters to contribute funds to the candidates or causes they support, creating a direct link between voting and funding.
It leverages the Tezos blockchain to ensure immutability, scalability and low fees for the voting and crowdfunding transactions.
It empowers voters to have more control and influence over the outcomes of their collective choices.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Developing a secure and scalable smart contract on Tezos using Michelson language
Integrating face recognition technology with the voting system to ensure voter identity and prevent fraud
Designing a user-friendly interface for the voters and the candidates to interact with the Dapp
Implementing a crowdfunding mechanism to allow candidates to raise funds for their campaigns

Accomplishments that we're proud of

successfully we can conduct votes in a decentralized manner, the voters vote will not be tampered . the political parties' funds will be transparent to the people, and the fund raise of votes is successfully done by crowdfunding .

What's next for Apna-chaunav

later we do region wise voting, and that will be completely controlled by our admin portal
