Hey! I’m R3nz, and Aplx is something I built because I wanted an AI that doesn’t force me to choose between privacy and power. Aplx is a hybrid AI assistant that runs completely offline by default (so your data stays on your device), but can instantly switch to stronger cloud models like OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude or Ollama whenever you want. It’s made to actually work on normal, everyday devices not just high end phones and laptops. I even tested it on my Redmi 13C with only 4GB RAM and it runs pretty smooth. It’s not just a basic chat tool though. I built it with proper developer features too like a strong code mode, project workspaces, git integration, and tools to improve or test your code. It also comes with its own small local model that can train on your machine. Basically, I wanted something that respects your privacy when you want it, but doesn’t hold you back when you need more power. Started as a simple “I wish I had my own Jarvis” idea.. and somehow turned into this. Still a work in progress, but I’m pretty proud of how far it’s come :3
