Inspiration
Everytime I start a project or attend a hackathon, a large amount of time is spent on finding a suitable API for my project. I would have to search multiple websites, open multiple tabs and spent countless hours finding the suitable api. During my first hackathon, I did not have any idea of what to create. If I had a web app like this api finder, I would have been able to get some inspiration for a project
What it does
It first shows the user the public APIs that is available to be used for free. The user is also able to search for other APIs if they have a specific API in mind
How I built it
I used reactJs to build the web app. I had also used an API to get data on other APIS.
Challenges I ran into
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to use the API in reacJst as this is my first time using reactJs and I had to watch a lot of youtube videos to learn it.
What I learned
how to use reactJs and use APIs with ReactJs and style components
What's next for APIFinder
add more features such as an API tester and a JSON Parser to make it more useful for first time hackers
