Inspiration

While building various applications, I often found myself in need of an API health monitoring tool. Most existing solutions are either too rigid, overly generalized, or prohibitively expensive. I wanted to create something simple yet flexible enough to adapt to different use cases.

What It Does

Everything you need to monitor your APIs.
A comprehensive monitoring tool designed for modern development teams that value reliability and performance.

  • Real-time Monitoring
Monitor your APIs 24/7 with real-time status updates and instant notifications when issues arise.

  • Security Checks
Includes SSL certificate monitoring, authentication validation, and security compliance checks.

  • Lightning Fast
Sub-second response time tracking with global monitoring locations for accurate performance metrics.

  • Smart Alerts
An intelligent alerting system with customizable thresholds and multiple notification channels.

  • Advanced Analytics
Detailed performance analytics, historical trends, and comprehensive reporting for data-driven decision-making.

How We Built It

I built the application using bolt.new and Supabase, with React and TypeScript for the frontend. Netlify was used for deployment.

Challenges We Ran Into

Nothing major to note, but I literally started building this yesterday. I aimed to ship quickly, and Bolt was instrumental—it truly enabled rapid development, and I pushed it to the limit.

Accomplishments We're Proud Of

I successfully built a functional API health monitoring tool featuring robust alerting, policy enforcement, and real-time analytics. Completing this in just over a day taught me how dramatically Bolt can accelerate the development process—it's incredible.

What We Learned

I learned how to work with Supabase Edge Routines and real-time capabilities. It was a valuable deep dive into those technologies.

What's Next for API Health Monitor

I plan to continue developing API Health Monitor into a full-fledged SaaS product. It just needs a bit more polish and payment integration. I'm aiming to launch it within the next week or two.
