Our journey began with a shared passion for racing and technology. Inspired by the fusion of high-speed motorsports and cutting-edge artificial intelligence, we envisioned ApexAI. Our goal was to create a platform that not only simulates racing experiences but also leverages AI to enhance performance and strategy. The thrill of Formula 1, combined with our fascination for AI's potential, set the foundation for our project.

What it does

ApexAI revolutionizes virtual racing by providing an AI-driven simulator that meticulously analyzes racing tracks to find the optimal path, ensuring peak performance and speed. Users can select their dream car, customize it, and test-drive on iconic tracks. The AI component offers personalized tips for improving racing techniques, making it an invaluable tool for both novices and seasoned racers.

How we built it

We built ApexAI using a blend of Python for backend logic, including AI model training and data processing, and Streamlit for a user-friendly frontend. Our AI models were trained on a mix of real-world racing data and simulated scenarios, ensuring they provide valuable insights for both novice and experienced drivers. The integration with MongoDB allows us to store and manage user preferences, car configurations, and track designs securely and efficiently.

Challenges we ran into

AI Training: Developing an AI capable of real-time track analysis was daunting. Extensive training data was needed to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Performance Optimization: Ensuring the simulator ran smoothly across a range of devices required constant tweaking and optimization.
