Inspiration
We are 4 random guys who met and upon conversation, we wanted to allow off-campus students connect with other off Camus students in their same apartment complex.
What it does
Our website allows students to login and connect with those who are living in the same space.
How we built it
We used create t3 app as a starting point. Then we developed the web app using typescript, material-ui, css, html, npm, and github for version control.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges with implementing the database and real-time chat service. We unfortunately were not able to accomplish everything we wanted.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are mostly first-time hackers and we learned a lot about web development and software ideation. Mitchell learned how to use the JavaScript language for the first time, along with using the React framework.
What we learned
We learned a lot about the React-framework, npm, node.js, and web dev in general.
What's next for BuddyBurg
We may continue with the project by implementing a database for chat and building data.
