Inspiration
The inspiration for this project came from my mom and her friends, who are AP social studies teachers. Oftentimes they work with students to develop strategies for AP tests, but they struggle to accurately show students where their strong points are
What it does
This website has a variety of AP class options, and the students is able to choose their class and enter data from their previous tests. With this data, the website determines the students strongest areas and displays a dashboard of potential strategies
How we built it
The website is hosted on pythonanywhere and is a combination of CSS, HTML, and a python back end for analysis
Challenges we ran into
Allowing the user to submit multiple previous tests was our biggest challenge, we had to learn how to create an html form that could submit multiple times without refreshing
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning far more of CSS than we knew before this project, as well as being able to expand the initial system to accommodate multiple class structures
What we learned
CSS and json
What's next for AP Strategy Calculator
More class availability and an option for teachers to see the overall strengths of their classes
