In accordance to the post covid theme, we have made a travel app that includes health guidelines and packages so that people would not have to worry about the changes due to coivd.

Inspiration

The inspiration for our "anythingTravel" app stemmed from our own experiences and observations during the COVID-19 pandemic. We noticed the apprehensions and uncertainties that travelers encountered while planning their trips. Travel restrictions, health guidelines, and constantly changing regulations made it difficult for people to navigate the travel landscape. We wanted to create a solution that would empower travelers with the information and resources they needed to travel safely and confidently in the post-COVID world.

What it does

The "Anything Travel" app is designed to be a one-stop solution for travelers, providing them with up-to-date health guidelines, travel packages, and personalized recommendations. Key features of the app include:

Health Guidelines: The app provides real-time access to health guidelines and travel advisories specific to different regions. Users can stay informed about the latest COVID-19 updates, vaccination requirements, and testing protocols.

Travel Packages: "Anything Travel" offers curated travel packages that prioritize safety and comply with health guidelines. Users can browse through a range of destinations and choose packages that suit their preferences and budget. Each package includes detailed information about safety measures implemented by airlines, hotels, and local authorities.

How we built it

We used React Native and Expo Go to simulate the features of the app.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into include the brain-storming process of deciding what features to include in our app, and how to incorporate React-native and Expo go to make an app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was our first hackathon so we were unsure of what to do at first, but we managed to create an app regardless so we are proud of how far we have come.

We learnt how to use react-native and expo go together.

What's next for anythingTravel

To further enhance the user experience and expand the functionality of the app, we envision the following future extensions:

Live Travel Updates: Integrating real-time notifications about flight delays, cancellations, and changes in travel restrictions will help users stay informed throughout their journey.

Contactless Solutions: Implementing contactless technologies, such as mobile check-ins, digital boarding passes, and touchless payments, will minimize physical contact and enhance safety during the travel process.

Vaccination Passport Integration: As vaccination becomes a crucial aspect of travel requirements, integrating a vaccination passport feature will allow users to store and access their vaccination records securely within the app.

AI-powered Recommendations: Leveraging artificial intelligence, the app can provide personalized travel recommendations based on user preferences, budget, and health requirements, ensuring a customized and safe travel experience.
