AnyCountryTweetAnalysis

Initial search for tweets in any country of users choice which displays all the trending topics in the specified country and we can perform
Trending topics and number of tweets to analyze.
Final output showing percentage of people sentiment on the specified tweets.

Inspiration

To know what people all over the world feel about trending tweets.

What it does

We can remotely search any country trending tweets and analyse people's emotions on the topic , thereby giving an overall idea.

How we built it

We built this project using Tweepy , matplotlib, csv , json , TextBlob , preprocessor .

Challenges we ran into

We faced hindrance while trying to search for country with geoid. Then we used dictionary and solve the above issue. Another issue arised when we tried cleaning tweets . Finally normalization of tweets score was little bit difficult as well are new to sentiment analysis. We had AI in our last semester but unfortunately had no means to try out project and this hackathon helped us to understand real world application .

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have included almost 437 countries which have geoid in our project which allows anyone to search at their convenience. We have listed a pretty decent number of trending tweets from which user can search for anything .

What we learned

We learned how to use Twitter API , it's advantages , data collection , sentiment analysis on real world data.

What's next for AnyCountryTweetAnalysis

We would like to see some more improvements like time of tweet and device from which tweet has been sent to better analyse on which platform users post tweet from.
