Inspiration
As a sales leader, I spend countless hours in meetings - both internal strategy sessions and high-stakes client presentations. But here's the harsh reality: we're losing deals because we're not prepared. I've watched too many opportunities slip away because team members showed up unprepared, meetings lacked clear purpose, or we failed to leverage the unique expertise of each participant.
The statistics are staggering. Recent research reveals that meetings consume up to 50% of managers' time while only 11% of meetings are considered productive, creating an estimated $370-399 billion annual loss in the United States alone. This crisis has intensified post-pandemic with a 66% increase in manager meeting time since 2021 and 35% more meetings for remote teams. The solution lies not in eliminating meetings but in transforming them through evidence-based strategies that create engagement, drive decisions, and generate measurable outcomes.
People arrive without context, roles are undefined, pre-reading materials are ignored, and we rarely capitalize on the diverse strengths each person brings to the table. I realized that if we could solve the meeting preparation problem, we could unlock extraordinary results in every room we enter.
This personal frustration became our mission: make the routine of conducting meetings remarkable.
What it does
The does the following:
- Reads your calendar and provides a unified view of your meetings.
- Gives you ai recommendations for preparing for the meetings
- An integrated content management system that provides and tracks progress on pre-reading materials for people to have more productive meetings.
- Provides insights on each participants for you to engage with them better and bring in their unique contributions. Since you know each of the people better you are able to also establish their expectations from the meetings. It also tracks the action items and recordings from the previous meetings. 5. Summarizes the relevant emails discussions for the meetings so that we are all aware of it.
How we built it
The Build Process:
Design-First Approach: We started with Figma mockups to visualize the unified meeting dashboard and AI recommendation interface Core Features Development: Built the calendar integration system that provides a unified view of all meetings AI Recommendation Engine: Implemented intelligent meeting preparation suggestions based on meeting type, participants, and context Content Management System: Created an integrated platform for pre-reading materials with progress tracking Participant Insights: Developed profiles for each meeting participant to help facilitate better engagement Action Item Tracking: Built a system to connect previous meeting recordings and follow-ups Email Integration: Implemented relevant email discussion summaries for meeting context
Challenges we ran into
- Figma Integration Limitations Bolt.new could only process one Figma screen at a time for the initial design import. When we tried to input subsequent screens, the platform couldn't handle multiple design references simultaneously. Our solution was to export our designs as PDFs and use those as reference materials instead.
- Design Fidelity Issues The conversion from PDF screen references to actual code wasn't 100% accurate. What looked perfect in our designs required multiple iterations to achieve the intended user experience. We learned to be more explicit in our design specifications and built in extra time for refinement.
- Authentication Roadblock Despite our efforts, we couldn't get Google authentication fully working within the hackathon timeframe. This was particularly challenging since calendar integration is core to Anunaad's value proposition. We've documented this as our top priority for future development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have incorporated the whole flow but the integrations still have to be completed with google calendar, google login, google drives etc.
What we learned
It is a very iterative approach. things dont work well at the first attempt but it is remarkably easy to work with these systems. Deployment is a huge challenge still figuring out why google integrations are not working.
What's next for Anunaad
Extend the capability and make this as a service that the people can use well.
