Inspiration

I planned a lovely date with my beloved girlfriend to find out five minutes beforehand that the place was closed.

What it does

This service allows couples to find interesting adventures through SF and reserve dinner for a lovely night.

How we built it

We built it with ruby on rails

Challenges we ran into

Unfamiliar with using google places apis, google maps apis, and deploying on the google app engine.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is a unique solution that has a lot of potential to grow into other industries, including Tourism. It is a platform to consolidate information about traveling. You don't have to jump between different services like Yelp and Google Maps.

What we learned

First time using APIs and first time hackathon. It was fun accomplishing a project. We learned that the UI is important in helping guide the idea to a prototype.

What's next for Antour

This demo will be refined and used for a business model in a technology entrepreneurship class the members are enrolled in. If a business model is validated, it will be turned into a service.
