Our Idea

Health can be improved through communication between patients and health care system: our project will improve it, thus providing doctors with better, optimized instruments to help our society. Antivirus will improve the communication between people and healthcare system by creating a platform to monitor the patients' disease course.

The Project

Our platform will provide general practitioners and hospitals with an interface containing all registered patients. Starting from the patient's data, the system will evaluate the urge of his/her case, calculating a "Risk Score". Using this score, general practitioners will be able to identify with a glance the most urgent cases and monitor them, by further analyzing the disease course. Based on the evolution of the case, a practitioner can then choose to redirect a patient to a hospital, in case further help is needed.

Optimization

Algorithms can help our lives! We implemented different optimization algorithms that can help practitioners and hospital to be more efficient.

  • The "Risk Score" evaluation system is based on real medical data and can help in patients prioritization.
  • Geographic maps can contribute in a more efficient patient transport between hospitals
  • Automatic graphical rendering of medical data can improve doctors' symptoms evaluation

Evolution

The idea behind Antivirus is to help our society in the delicate and challenging situation of the Covid outbreak. However, the system can be applied to any medical context, by expanding the ranking evaluation system with new symptoms and rules.

How we built it

Antivirus is a React App. The front-end was built with Node.js, React Framework and the Material UI. The back-end uses PostgreSQL and GraphQL.
