We asked ourselves: What if an autonomous swarm of AI agents could act as an entire Hollywood production crew? What if you could input a single logline, and watch specialized agents deconstruct the premise into a strict Three-Act narrative arc, forge consistent characters with distinct voices, break down every scene into exact 10-second continuous visual units, and splice everything into a live Google Flow multi-track timeline with synchronized dialogue, LUT color grading, and anamorphic 21:9 playback? This vision inspired Antigravity Cinematic Flow — an end-to-end agentic narrative video studio that turns ideas into cohesive cinema.

What it does

Antigravity Cinematic Flow is a full-stack agentic cinema workstation that automates the entire filmmaking pipeline: Antigravity Agent Swarm Orchestration: Narrative Reasoning Agent: Deconstructs loglines into structured Three-Act dramatic structures with calibrated narrative stakes and conflicts. Character Forge Agent: Synthesizes character psychologies, visual attire, personality traits, and assignable voice profiles (Puck, Charon, Kore, Fenrir, Zephyr). 10-Second Scene Framer Agent: Formulates exact 10-second continuous scenes complete with camera vectors, focal lengths, lighting schemes, and dialogue beats. Prompt Synthesis Agent: Translates raw narrative beats into photorealistic prompt syntax for 8K keyframes and video models. Nano Banana Image & Keyframe Synthesis: Converts character descriptions directly into high-fidelity portraits using the Nano Banana suite (gemini-3.1-flash-image, gemini-3.1-flash-lite-image, gemini-3-pro-image, and imagen-3.0-generate-002). Generates cinematic 16:9 and 1:1 keyframes with aspect-ratio consistency. Google Flow Multi-Track Timeline Splicer: A non-linear, multi-track timeline where every scene represents an accurate 10-second continuous clip. Live transition configuration (Cut, Crossfade, Dissolve, Fade-to-Black, Whip-Pan, Glitch) with custom transition timing (0.5s – 2.0s). How we built it

Frontend & Visual Architecture: Built with React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, and Motion (motion/react) for silky-smooth timeline scrubbing, transitions, and modal interfaces. Backend API Gateway: Developed in Node.js and Express using tsx for high-throughput orchestration and streaming API handling. Google GenAI Ecosystem: Powered by the modern @google/genai TypeScript SDK (v2.4.0). Gemini 3.7 Flash for high-speed multi-agent narrative reasoning, structural breakdown, and screenplay formatting. Nano Banana Image Models (gemini-3.1-flash-image & imagen-3.0-generate-002) for visual character portraits and keyframes. Gemini 2.5 Flash (Audio Modality) for natural character dialogue speech synthesis. Interactions API & Veo / Gemini Omni Video Engine for 10-second cinematic video generation. Audio Engineering: Engineered a custom server-side 24kHz PCM-to-WAV 44-byte RIFF header compiler to guarantee instant, cross-browser audio playback. Resilient Fallback Engine: Integrated a procedural cinematic vector HUD renderer and procedural narrative engine that gracefully maintains full app functionality during upstream quota or rate-limit events. Challenges we ran into Audio Decoding & Cross-Browser Audio Playback: Gemini's audio generation returns raw 24kHz 16-bit PCM bytes, which standard HTML5 elements reject as an unsupported source. We resolved this by building a server-side RIFF WAV encoder that dynamically calculates byte rates and attaches 44-byte WAV headers, backed by a resilient client-side SpeechSynthesis failover. Maintaining Character & Visual Consistency: Ensuring generated portraits aligned with story descriptions across multiple acts required fine-tuning prompt syntax with camera telemetry (lens types, volumetric lighting, dramatic archetypes) and enforcing strict aspect ratio configurations (1:1 for cast avatars, 16:9 for scene storyboards). Multi-Track Timeline Synchronization: Coordinating continuous 10-second scene video clips, custom transition curves, dialogue tracks, and live HUD telemetry within a fluid, scrubbable UI required careful state management and precise animation orchestration with motion/react. Accomplishments that we're proud of True 10-Second Continuous Pacing: Pioneered a structured scene architecture where narrative pacing directly mirrors video model generation windows (10-second units), eliminating disjointed video cuts. Complete End-to-End Workflow: Built a tool where a creator can go from a 5-word prompt to a fully cast, scripted, voiced, visualized, and spliced cinematic trailer in under 60 seconds. Nano Banana & Multi-Model Synthesis: Successfully integrated multiple image and speech models with automated failover and fallback rendering, ensuring a zero-crash experience. Polished 21:9 Cinema UX: Crafted an authentic director's workstation interface with real-time LUT grading, anamorphic letterboxing, and telemetry overlays. What we learned Agent Specialization Outperforms Monolithic Prompts: Breaking story generation into specialized agents (Narrative Reasoner, Character Forge, 10s Scene Framer, Prompt Synthesizer) produces dramatically higher structural coherence and character depth than a single prompt attempt. Audio & Video Pacing Constraints: Designing AI video apps requires treating duration and transition timing as first-class constraints from the earliest script-writing stage. Resilience Engineering: Building robust procedural fallbacks and standard format wrappers (e.g., PCM to WAV) is essential for delivering rock-solid AI multimedia experiences.
