Inspiration

We noticed how obsessed the world has become with productivity — timers, trackers, hustle culture — and thought, what if we built the exact opposite?
“404: Productivity Not Found” was born out of this irony. A tool that looks like it helps, but is designed to distract you in the most creative, hilarious, and unexpected ways.

What it does

It masquerades as a serious productivity dashboard — with timers, to-do lists, and motivational tools — but quickly reveals its true purpose:

• Fake Pomodoro Timer that resets itself
• Excuse Generator for work, college, and life
• Meme-infested task list
• Boss Mode panic button that hides the chaos under a fake spreadsheet
• Fake system update screens (Windows/macOS)
• Hidden duck icon that unlocks actual productivity tools for rare focused moments

How we built it

• Frontend: React + Vite, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript
  
• Animations: GSAP + custom CSS transitions
  
• Media: Embedded YouTube + GIPHY API for memes
  
• State management: Pure JavaScript + DOM manipulation
  
• Easter Eggs: Konami code, multi-click duck trigger
  All built using the Bolt frontend playground — fast and chaos-ready.

Making fake features look real while still being funny

Balancing beautiful UI with total anti-productivity logic
