Inspiration :

Procrastination is common among college students. This inspired us to find a solution to make the process of finishing their work more stressful so that students don't procrastinate again out of fear.

What it does

It sets off an alarm to remind students of an assignment six hours before it's due. If the camera doesn't detect them doing their homework, the students are also sprayed with water.

How we built it

We programmed the user interface with Python to add the assignment and due times and connected it to Raspberry Pi, where image recognition sets off the alarm and activates the motors for the water gun.

Challenges we ran into

figuring out how to connect the software with the hardware, learning how to use a Raspberry Pi, and image recognition software.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We connected the software with the hardware and have the steps completed for it to work.

What we learned

We learned how to connect software with hardware and the basics of using a Raspberry Pi and Python for front and back end operations.

What's next for Anti Procrastination Station

Creating the CAD in real life, to make this whole "station" usable.
