We are Submitting to Most Technically impressive. The level of cross cooperation between completely unrelated programming languages and standards (Ruby, Bash, Python, Command Prompt, all in the course of a single line), and sheer difficulty of finding any information about what we were doing due to just how obscure its moving parts are make this a very technically impressive project

Inspiration

Me and Kyle were inspired to make our project by his experience with cybersecurity CTF

What it does

Our top of the line "Keypogger" uses the cybersecurity apps Metasploit an NMap to determine where the open ports in your network are, and what exploits hackers could use against your network

How we built it

We built this program in Ubuntu Linux using Python for a lot of command prompt commands

Challenges we ran into

A huge challenge we ran into is when after 6 hours of troubleshooting a "missing database driver" in Metasploit, we discovered that windows as a whole cannot support Metasploit, forcing me to learn how to use linux.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

An accomplishment we are so proud of is when we first got the command line to be recorded to a text file by printing bash to the command line from python. This moment will be remembered forever in execute.py, which contains the three lines of code the consumed almost a third of our 36 hours:

import os
def exestart(ip):
    os.system('bash -c "python3 installer.py ' + ip + ' > log.txt"

What we learned

I can say that I learned more in these two days than I thought was possible. I learned just so much about cybersecurity from Kyle. I have always seen Linux as daunting and intimidating, so being able to use it so smoothly just felt great. I've also never used python in my life, so being able to pick it up so easily made me very happy.

What's next for Anti-Keypogger

I think that the next step for Keypogger will be getting a more robust scanning software. At the momement, we have to use Metasploit, which is also build with some more... nefarious, even... SUS... features. This makes a little risky to distribute, which is why it is important that we get this fixedz
