Inspiration
According to the annual Emerging Markets Smart Grid: Outlook 2015 study by the Northeast Group, LLC, the world loses US$89.3 billion annually to electricity theft. The highest losses were in India ($16.2 billion). So I decided to find a solution to control this theft
What it does
Today we have smart meters to detect if someone if tempering with the meter but we do not have any solution for illegal connections so my idea will be helping us to monitor real-time electricity theft whether it is by any illegal connection or any tampering with the meter.
How it is going to work
It is going to keep a real-time check on electricity consumption and report it to the electricity department whenever it finds anything wrong. The detailed working is explained in the ppt attached and in the video.
What's next for Anti-electricity-theft
