Answerrank is a self-improving harness helping businesses boost their visibility on AI answers. We enable business owners with tools to create a bigger distribution for their products with AI.

Inspiration

I have helped many businesses build online communities. During the time of Covid we trained brick-and-mortar businesses to get online so they could pay salaries to their employees. During that time, everyone was expecting business owners to keep paying salaries and continue to run a business but no one was really concerned about their business and their own support system. The same is happening with AI right now. People are concerned about AI being bad for their small businesses. I see an opportunity here to enable business owners with new distribution channels with answerrank

What it does

Answerrank helps business owners boost their ranking, spy on competitors and create bigger distribution for their product. In the first version, it gives people ability to track performance for different queries and see their score. It also shows them different fixes and improvements to make.

How we built it

We are using Gemini, Claude Fable, GLM-5.2, Fal (connected for Flux for image), Exa search primarily. Claude was used for primary developement. I built the tool one feature after another using an iterative development by myself.

Challenges we ran into

There are not many publicaly mentioned parameters and no standards for Generetive engine optimization apart from some research papers (which are mostly theoratical). So we had to rely on a lot of brutforce and traditional SEO signals for it. However, we are constantly improving it

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed and already deployed the product at answerrank.so. We have also created free tools people can use which can become a lead magnet for us to onboard new people.

What we learned

Biggest learning for me is, it is not my opinion but the desire of market that matters. I can think of ten ideas in my head. However, market's desire is the strongest force. It asks and it is wise to listen to it.

What's next for Answerrank

For us, improving the harness so answerrank can become more impactful in giving suggestions. Also, big part is marketing and onboarding users. Currently, we are doing automated SEO with answerrank.so/blog. However, we need to run paid campaigns and create education around this subject to onboard more users.
