Origin of the Creative Idea:
This idea was born from observing the common difficulties new and returning students face when navigating Fisk University. From finding their way across campus to connecting with key individuals for academic and administrative needs, we identified a gap that could be addressed through technology.
Project Vision and Mission:
Vision: To enhance campus life at Fisk University by providing seamless access to information and social navigation tools. Mission: To create an AI-driven chatbot that helps students, staff, and visitors navigate campus efficiently, socially connect, and find necessary resources quickly.
Inspiration and Creativity:
Inspired by popular virtual assistants like Siri and Google Assistant, we aimed to localize this kind of AI-driven support, tailoring it specifically for Fisk University. The concept is grounded in making students' lives easier and fostering a sense of community through smart technology.
Ideation Process:
We brainstormed based on common questions and challenges faced by students, including how to get directions, find specific departments, or locate key campus personnel. These insights guided the functionality and user experience goals of our chatbot.
Creation Process:
The chatbot is being developed using Python and various APIs, integrating both a question-answering system and a database to provide accurate responses. We're iterating based on feedback from students and faculty to ensure relevance and efficiency.

Each branch has sub-features like live updates and tailored responses.

Opportunities: Potential expansion to other universities, improving social interaction. Threats: Misinterpretation of queries, reliance on technology could overshadow traditional communication.

As we continue development, we aim to refine the chatbot’s conversational abilities and expand its database.
