We built Ansem because we believe opportunities should have real limits. Today, an opportunity can attract thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people, even when the organizer can only accommodate a small number. We wanted to change that by making capacity clear from the start.

What it does

Ansem is a platform for creating and managing limited-capacity opportunities. Organizers can create an opportunity, set exactly how many seats are available, and define how people get those seats. Whether it's 5, 500, 10,000, or 60,000 participants, once the seats are filled, registration closes.

How we built it

We built Ansem around one simple principle: every opportunity has a capacity. Organizers create an opportunity, choose the number of available seats, set their registration rules, and manage participants. Ansem tracks the seats in real time and prevents registration once the opportunity reaches capacity.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was thinking about what happens when thousands of people try to secure a limited number of seats at the same time. We had to consider accurate seat allocation, duplicate registrations, fairness, scalability, and creating an experience that remains simple despite the complexity happening behind the scenes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we turned a simple observation into a product with a clear purpose: making participation more intentional and transparent. Ansem can support hackathons, competitions, events, workshops, fellowships, programs, and many other opportunities where capacity matters.

What we learned

We learned that the problem isn't always finding opportunities. Sometimes the problem is access. When thousands of people are competing for an opportunity with limited capacity, simply allowing everyone to register doesn't necessarily create a better experience. Clear capacity and transparent participation rules can make the process more meaningful.

What's next for Ansem

We're focused on making Ansem a complete infrastructure for opportunity participation. Next, we want to improve verification, participant selection, anti-abuse systems, payments, and eventually crypto-enabled opportunities. Our goal is to build a platform where opportunities have clear capacity, participants have clear expectations, and organizers have complete control over participation.
