The United States Federal Glass Ceiling Commission defines the glass ceiling as "the unseen, yet unbreachable barrier that keeps minorities and women from rising to the upper rungs of the corporate ladder, regardless of their qualifications or achievements.” Women and racial minorities face many biases online, whether it is during code review or requesting housing on Airbnb. It has been showing that minorities receive less favorable reviews or have a harder time booking homes to stay in when their gender or race is known. We attempted to combat this bias by developing a web application that creates web avatars to be connected to each user's online presence. We abstracted away human details so that one cannot identify sex, race, etc. from each avatar, yet each image is unique, just like each user. The interface was created to be easy to use and the images are uniform in the set of features that users can add. Built using elm and HTML.
