Inspiration
Always oversleep during my naps, and need to find a way to wake up on time.
What it does
Continuously ring the alarm, and the alarm cannot be snoozed, it can only be stopped after solving a (simple) math problem. We have 3 difficulties of math problems:
- easy - sum or subtract 2 2-digit numbers
- medium - sum or subtract 3 2-digit numbers
- hard - multiply 2 2-digit numbers
How we built it
Using React. We check the time if the time has been reached and sound the alarm. The alarms are stored in an arraylist.
Challenges we ran into
Alarm did not stop ringing when it was supposed to! We found a solution that we never saw before.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
For a 3-man team, accomplishing this in 24 hours is something we are proud of.
What we learned
The usage of useMemo saved a lot of troubles (from bugs), as well as setInterval.
What's next for Annoy'o Clock
Perhaps change to react native to be able to accomodate mobile devices.
