Inspiration

The inspiration behind AnnaMaitri was to reduce food wastage while ensuring that surplus food reaches those who need it the most. The goal is to create a seamless and effective food donation system to support communities in need.

What it does

AnnaMaitri connects food donors with recipients, facilitating the donation and distribution of surplus food. The app provides real-time updates, location-based matching, and an intuitive dashboard to manage donations efficiently.

How we built it

Frontend: Developed using React.js for an interactive user experience. Backend: Built with Node.js and Express.js for handling API requests. Database: MongoDB for storing user and donation data. Authentication: JWT-based authentication for secure user access.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing efficient location-based matching for donors and recipients. Ensuring real-time updates without overwhelming the system. Managing authentication and security to prevent misuse of the platform.
