I was really inspired by the concept of omnitrix. I always thought what if instead of aliens there were other characters?
Introducing Animetrix, augment different anime characters onto the famous Omnitrix and show-off the character you want to become!
The main platform used was Lens Studio, along with this JavaScript was used for scripting and also hand-tracking was used to track wrist and augment the Omnitrix.
The main challenge was build the 3D Models of different characters. I also faced problems in augmenting them properly onto the Omnitrix and controlling their motion and changing them on tap.
I am really proud that I got to use my coding skills in building something that people can enjoy, this Lens has crossed more than 150K+ views and plays on Snapchat. I am also proud that I successfully completed my first lens using Lens Studio. It was such a great experience using it.
Learned about various features of Lens Studio, such as animations, hand-tracking, tweens, lights and effects. I also learned about using JavaScript in Augmented Reality, thanks to Lens Studio.
I am planning to introduce more features to Animetrix such as more lights and effects related to the Omnitrix, specific sound effects and introducing more characters.
